A hugely successful first Easter egg hunt

As soon as the gates opened, families and children gathered in the park at Domaine de Vaujoly, ready to set off in search of precious chocolate eggs.

In this natural, welcoming setting, every corner became a place to explore. The laughter, the youngest children's excitement and the general good mood quickly set the tone: that of a simple, heartfelt and successful event.

With more than 160 participants taking part, this first edition exceeded all expectations and confirmed just how popular this kind of outdoor family event has become.

Beyond the egg hunt itself, the experience at Domaine de Vaujoly was enriched with plenty of entertainment designed to extend the fun.

Children enjoyed inflatable structures, while those with a sweet tooth treated themselves at the festive stands. Candy floss, popcorn, an afternoon tea… everything came together to create a festive atmosphere.

This playful, indulgent side of the day went a long way towards making it a complete experience, where everyone, whatever their age, could find something to enjoy.

A big thank you to Gauthier Traiteur, who treated participants to a delicious afternoon tea, perfectly suited to the day's convivial spirit. The entertainment was also made possible thanks to Happy Air 28, who set up the candy floss and popcorn machines and the inflatable structures, to the children's great delight. Hello, today I'm interviewing our founder, Nicolas, who is going to tell us about the art at Domaine de Vaujoly. Let's find out how a farming estate turns into an event venue art gallery!

Why did you place so many artworks at Vaujoly?

At Domaine de Vaujoly, we first wanted to give structure to the venue, and art creates landmarks, gathering points, focal points. We also wanted to bring emotion: we don't always remember the artworks, or even the places, but we do remember the emotions we felt there.

What we tried to do was create depth and character that would match the festive, authentic spirit of the venue: the art is in dialogue with the agricultural architecture and the surrounding nature.

An event venue between agricultural heritage and contemporary art

There are lots of different styles, some of them very modern! Yes, our venue fully embraces its contrasts!

Vaujoly is a former farm. With everything that entails: generous volumes, raw materials, a strong sense of history.

We could have smoothed all that away, made the venue perfectly uniform, perfectly polished. But that would feel like a showroom! It's not the venue that needs to be tightly controlled, it's the service.

In our venues, what I love are the contrasts, the shifts, the dialogues. Between agricultural heritage and contemporary creation. Between the past and something much more alive, more free.

An iconic artwork at the heart of Domaine de Vaujoly: the monumental dandelion

What role does Guillaume Piechaud's dandelion play?

When you're at Domaine de Vaujoly, during an event or a corporate retreat, you soon come across this monumental dandelion. It's the first giant dandelion he ever created! In other words, a founding piece, and I'm glad we got to play that part.

What I love about this piece is its apparent simplicity. A wildflower, like the ones that surround Vaujoly. Something everyone knows, but reinvented. Something simple, yet sophisticated!

It's a powerful image: movement, dispersal, freedom, the idea that something is circulating. And in fact, it stands at the centre of a flow of movement that we created especially for it.

Ultimately, that's what we're trying to create here: a venue where you “Bring Together & Belong Together”, where people meet, talk, and leave with beautiful memories and happy images.

Artworks that invite meeting and conversation

There's another sculpture by Guillaume Piechaud, a “Conversation”, is that right?

Yes, it's actually become the emblem of the venue. Then again, who hasn't wanted a giant dandelion in their garden at some point?!

Seriously though, I love art that has a 'design' side to it, that's useful, and actually used! The dandelion is a lamp that reveals itself at night. And in this “Conversation” piece, two people, a couple, face each other but slightly offset, talking to each other at a three-quarter angle.

When I see this sculpture, I immediately think of Khalil Gibran's text on marriage, which is not about fusion: “And stand together, yet not too near together: For the pillars of the temple stand apart, and the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other's shadow.”

An inspiring venue for corporate retreats

And in the sheepfold, what do these contemporary works by Pascal Pilate bring?

Pascal Pilate is a bit like the venue's official dreamer. In the sheepfold, he opens doors onto parallel worlds.

And honestly, what better way to spark creativity during a corporate retreat in the countryside? These paintings are dreamlike journeys — immersive, vibrant and poetic.

What's more, they sit within a setting that is heavily marked, deeply rooted in its agricultural past. And it's that friction, that contrast, which I think really works.

When street art moves into a farming estate

Even more contemporary, Jerôme Mesnager's street art in the Grange des Prés! Why?

Yes, but in the end they fit in perfectly, don't they?

The space is raw and agricultural — we even decided to keep that crane, that old auger, which no longer really serves a purpose. The materials are raw too.

Here, we're both in harmony with a raw, instinctive artist, whose energy I love (you have to see him paint these murals in just a few minutes), and in dissonance, by bringing urban art onto the farm!

And then, like the other artworks, he explores the theme of couples and celebration in his own way. Here, the man in white is never alone!

A venue open to artistic influences from around the world

Speaking of outsider art, I discovered the artist “Chomo”

Chomo is the wonderfully eccentric artist you simply have to encounter… even if you don't always fully understand his work. But isn't that the beauty of it?

He was born and lived as a hermit near my village of Berlaimont, in the north of France! His work is extremely raw and instinctive, based on recycling: a venue shouldn't be entirely controlled, it should also keep a sense of freedom.

An event venue open to the world and its cultures

I discovered Aboriginal art through you — what's the connection with Vaujoly?

Well… openness to other cultures. Isn't Vaujoly a crossroads, welcoming guests from all four corners of the world? These works tell a different story — a different relationship with time, nature and memory. They bring a different, more universal depth.

And they naturally find their place in a venue that, deep down, is all about connection and legacy. I'm particularly fascinated by the works of Lilly Kelly Napangarti, depicting waves, dunes or the sea.

A balance between artistic boldness and guest experience

Weren't you worried these bold choices might not please everyone?

A little, yes! The challenge is finding a balance between offering a different perspective, an experience, and staying broadly appealing. That's why we chose refined, sometimes abstract pieces, where everyone can have their own personal experience.

A unique artistic experience for every event

Any other artworks at Vaujoly?

Oh, so many! Among the sculptures, there's another magnificent “Vague” (“Wave”) bench by Piechaud: the perfect spot for group photos! There's also a “foule sentimentale” (“sentimental crowd”) by Arno Sebban, at the centre of the pool terrace, which blends in with the real crowd.

Do you see the theme running through it all? There's also a marble piece by Maurizio Tofoletti near the pétanque court. And so many others, whose names sometimes escape me… but the emotions always stay with me.

And among the paintings, there are dozens of classical, contemporary and modern pieces, most of them original, one-of-a-kind works.

An exceptional place for a unique day

Located in Courville-sur-Eure, the Domaine de Vaujoly offered an idyllic setting for this official shooting. Between elegant building, vast outdoor spaces and authentic atmosphere, each candidate was able to enhance her presence in front of the lens.

The various shooting scenes exploited the full potential of the field:

• The green gardens, perfect for natural and bright shots.
• The refined lounges, suitable for sophisticated and timeless portraits.
• The architecture of the venue, showcasing the elegance of Miss.

A prestigious cast and a dedicated team

To immortalize this moment, a team of professionals was mobilized:

The first logo: a tribute to the “Bergerie de Vaujoly”

Initially, La Bergerie served as a centre for breeding and agricultural production. It took advantage of the region's fertile land to raise sheep and grow cereals. It also had a beautiful horse stable.

When we started the adventure with Domaine de Vaujoly, our logo represented a house and a tree, symbols of the main house and of the wealth of plants that surround the venue. Simple and warm, this design expressed the very essence of our place: a family place in the heart of nature.

A transition to a group identity

With the expansion of our vision and the integration of new locations within Domaines & événements, we have evolved our visual identity. Our objective was twofold:

• Unify the logos of the various venues to reflect a common belonging.
• Preserve the soul and uniqueness of each place.

This evolution marks an important step in our desire to establish a clear graphic line between Domaines & événements and each of its venues.

• A handwriting for each proper name: in order to maintain the uniqueness of each venue.

• New fonts: identical for all areas, they reinforce visual coherence.
